Healing Our Connection to Animals: The Path of the Horse

Stormy May.jpg

Concerning matters of health, the way we treat animals is a reflection of the way we treat ourselves and our fellow humans. The new humanity is changing the way we interact with one another towards relationships built upon respect, loyalty, kindness, and compassion.

Stormy May is one woman who is setting an example for this new paradigm through her work in healing the relationship between horses and humans. But her work extends even further to accomodate all human/animal relationships to facilitate connections that honor the Sacred Feminine.

In other words, she is honoring Mutual Symbiosis!

Compassionate Communication

Having worked with horses most of her life, Stormy May has accumulated a deep understanding of the intelligence of horses, and through her observations she has noticed that people often project their own unresolved emotions onto the horses they are supposed to be showing love and respect.

“I realized that we humans won’t start treating horses better until we treat each other better. “ ~ Stormy May

Horses are majestic creatures, and it makes sense that if we are going to resolve our own individual and collective trauma, we need to focus our attention on how we treat our four-legged friends.

Horses and humans have a relationship that is grounded in Mutual Symbiosis, but unlike examples of Mutualism within the wild, horses are domesticated and therefore require responsible stewardship that is grounded in love and compassion.

Stormy May teaches an online course called Compassionate Communication, which is set up in a way to guide people in intuitively connecting to an animal’s innermost desires and needs while simultaneously connecting to one’s own heart.

Check out her introduction for the course to get a better idea of what she does:

The Path of the Human

While her work has primarily focused on relationships with horses, the scope of her work encompasses all matters of human relationships to one another and the planet.

What it boils down to is this: living and expressing from the heart is what connects us to each other positively by recognizing that we are all part of an inter-connected system. Treating one another with love and respect honors our individuality, and living with humility and gratitude brings us together as a community.

Stormy May is also working on a documentary called The Path of the Human, which focuses on how we can end hunger and violence in the world. Be sure to stay updated through her website!
